Natural Newborn Photos at Home in Columbus

These natural newborn images from my session at home in Columbus left me wishing I could teleport back to when I became a mom for the first time so that I could hire someone to create images like this of my own family in that season. I skipped the newborn photos with my first child, and I will always regret that.

If I could bottle up what I desire to photograph at each newborn session, it would be this session. I want to capture all of the little moments that are happening between the shots I am getting. I want you to be able to look back and feel what it felt like to hold your baby in your arms when they were just a few days old.

Photographs While Nursing

I run my sessions in a way where we have plenty of time to stop and feed your baby as many times as we need. As your Columbus Newborn Photographer, I always check with you first to see if you desire a few shots of you nursing your baby. Nursing is such a vulnerable, intimate thing, and if the idea of getting photos of you doing that makes you uncomfortable, I will happily step out of the room to give you some privacy.

But if you are someone who wants that aspect of your motherhood journey documented, know that I will do it in such a beautifully tasteful way. I want you to be able to look back at those shots of you feeding your baby & see just how incredible your body is for being able to do that.

If your nursing journey isn’t going as perfectly as you thought it would, but you still want photographs of it, I want to give you that so that someday you can look back & see just how hard you were working as a mama to nurse. Even if your breastfeeding journey ends with pumping or bottle feeding. The fact that you were even able to try is truly incredible and something you should be so proud of.
