When I first saw the lighting at this family’s home in Columbus, I knew instantly that I wanted to maximize that triangular shadow that was cast on the wall. We originally rescheduled this newborn session due to cloudy weather, and it was so worth the wait.
WHY I RESCHEDULE
The sun is such an essential part of my process. Having it in your images adds so much feeling & warmth to your images. It almost feels so essential that not having it would feel like we are shooting your session without one of your kids. And that would just be crazy, right? So I suggest we reschedule if it looks like a cloudy day.
Think about how you feel in the winter here in Ohio when it has been cloudy for days, if not weeks, on end. The second the sun comes back out, your whole personality feels like it springs back to life, doesn’t it? Yes, you were still functioning on those cloudy days, and you may have even had some fun moments š But the second the sun comes out, you are unstoppable.
That is how I feel when choosing between shooting on a sunny day versus a cloudy one. I want all of my clients to have the best when it comes to lighting in their home. So I will always choose to wait for the day where the sun is out, and we feel unstoppable together š
