A Relaxed In-Home Session Might Just Be The Perfect Way To Get Family Photos With Your Teen

I recently had a conversation with a mom who said to me “In-home photos are great, but I’m not going to want photos of me with my teenager playing with trucks in our living room someday.”

And I want to say that I understand this concern & it’s hard to visualize something when you haven’t witnessed it before.

But as a Columbus Family Photographer, I want to talk this through WITH you.

Consider this: While your child is growing, they are still in your home, but their interests are changing. They’ve gone from loving trucks & Magna-Tiles to wanting to wrestle with dad on the living room floor. Throughout every season, throughout every age, throughout every interest, your home is still your child’s home, and it is still where they feel safest and most comfortable.

My whole goal as a photographer is to capture HOW you connect as a family within your home in this current season of your life. For this relaxed in-home session with teenagers, that was playing catchphrase, eating donuts around the kitchen table, dancing, and wrestling in the living room.

Not a truck in sight.

For your family when you have teenagers, it might look completely different. The point is to capture YOUR connection as a family, in the place where all your connection happens.
