A sun-soaked in-home family session is what makes my heart happiest! Throw in a family who is willing to play, cuddle, and laugh together, and I am on cloud nine. This family session created some of my favorite photographs I have ever taken.

In order to allow the most natural moments to unfold, I have to take a step back. Now this may feel counterintuitive, but let me explain. So much of my process as your photographer is leaning into the moments unfolding, versus forcing every moment to happen. I guide & I prompt. This allows the most genuine moments to come spilling out of your session.

Now, you might be wondering how I know what feels genuine to each family I work with. Well, it’s simple, actually. I get to know you before your session. This isn’t just a friendly text here + there. We are talking often; we are having a session planning call over Zoom, and I am having you fill out a very in-depth questionnaire that really gets down to who your family is at their core.

All of these things combined add to the way I am able to photograph your family. And it leads to the most beautiful art of the people who hold your heart.
