As I headed up to Dublin, Ohio, for this newborn session, I knew it was going to be a session where we’d need to go with the flow. Having a toddler in the family always adds an element of surprise to a session in all of the best ways.

HANDLED WITH CARE

Each session I do is handled with care, but the reason it is might change from time to time. Sometimes it is because the family is currently going through something difficult in their life; other times it is because a child might need help handling big emotions; and often, for newborn sessions, I handle them with care because mama just had a baby. Taking photos just weeks after having a baby is definitely going to wear you out for the day. You will 100% need a nap afterwards. But I can promise you, you will never regret having taken the pictures. It is a gift you are not only giving your future self, but you are also giving the gift to the generations to come after you. You are being a family historian, making sure this chapter in your family is documented. Give yourself a pat on the back for that 😉
